Veterans Day
Today is Veterans Day! Thinking about what it means to dedicate your life to our country, write a 7 sentence reflection. Tell why Veterans are important to our country's history, and why they are important to you. Remember, using correct grammar, punctuation, and spelling is absolutely necessary!

ReplyDeleteThey are important to our history because they saved people that live before us. They practicaly saved them. Veterans Day is important because the people in the war risked there lives to save the country. Over one-million people died because they were in war. The people that were in war is important to me because they risked there lives to save everyone. When they decided that veterans day was going to be, they decided and the date was 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, November. Veterans Day is very important.

ReplyDeleteI think that Veterans Day is important, because the people that are in the war had given their lives for our freedom. So if it weren't for them we would not be were we are today and we would be rulded by someone how has killed lots of inocent people. Over 1,000,000,000 people were killed so if you look at our school it would be 100! So if the people thought it would be nice to make a day for the people who died for us.The date was 11.11.1982.So as you can see they are very important to our State. Veterens are important to are country's history because if they did not fight in the army,navy,marines,or coastguard we could not all this freedom that we have.Or all the stuff that we own. I think we should let them know how much we care for them. They are important to me because i could not have as much freedom that I have. Like freedom of speech and freedom of religon.So we should onhor all the stuff they do .

ReplyDeleteI have a uncle that was in the marines. Veterans are important to me because they help us to be free. I think that veterans day is a great thing. I know that some veterans died to keep us free. I am pretty sure that over 2,000 died to save us and keep us free. In the video we watched there were a lot in the hospital. I love veterans day because it is a day to remeber the people who fought to keep us free.
Veterans are very important to our country.All those men and women risk their whole life for the freedom we have now.Veterans are very,very important to me and hopefully to our whole country.There are lots of branches of the military and every single person in those branches are very brave.They are our hero's.Veteran's day is very important because it represents the men and women who risked everything for there country.

They important to history they made history that is why the are important.I cant really think of more.But i know that they are really important to every body in the good old U.S.A!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ReplyDeleteVetearns day is important to me because it is about people who fight for my freedom. Everyone should do something special on veterans day. Veterans day use to be called armistice day.President Dwight changed armistice day to vetearns day.He changed it to vetearns day because armistice day was about world war one.Today we know the day as veterans day . Do me a favor and say thank you to someone you know in the war or to someone that you do not know but was in the war fighting for your freedom. So think about that today about the people who risked their life in favor of yours.):)

Vetarins Day is a day to celibrate the troops that have fought and died to protect our country.they have layed down there lives to keep us safe.I think that they are vary luck to have a day all to themselves but at the same time I think that they deserve the day because they protect us from all the bad things out there.the us military is a large organization tha is the coolest thing in the world.I think that in WWII the troops of amarica did there best(not that they don't do there best any ways).when I gro up I want to be in the armed forces.

ReplyDeleteI think our veteransam imporant to us because if they didin`t fight for us, we wouldn't have our freedom that we have today. Veterans are important to me because my dad, and my grandpa are veterans and they both served in Iraq. So veterans are very important in my life!

If i was in the war i would freak, but you guys are brave, smart, and strong.U give us the privilidege to be free from slavery, and being torn from our families. ReplyDeleteVeterans Day is really imporant because if you ever thought that all the people that lived before us and they risked their live for us. My dad and my two uncles both went to irak and fought in war. This is also
imporant because back then people didn't have no say so in nothing. So I wanted to say that they saved our coubtry from slavery and distar. If you was someone that fought in war then we all need to give a big thanks to them all. If you was to fight in a war people would be so worried about you because we wouldn't kbnow if you could be alive now or not. So we and you should be glad that you made it and you are now a brave and bright soilder!
Vetearns are very important to the unitied states of america because they help us have are own religion and do any thing you want to do and we always have Vetearns day and we have a very special ceremony for the people who sackraficed there lives so we can have are own religion. It all started when all the men came home from the world war 1 and the president made vetearns day so they can onorr the people who sackraviced for are safety. The third reason is that it is important is that it honors everybody who saved are religion and so we can do what ever we want to do and we are lucky because if we would of lost then we would not make are own decisions and are own religion and we thank them on every day on the 11th day of the 11th month of the year. The fourth reason that you honor the vetearns day is because they might have been part of are family or friend and it might be really sad because they all died in the war in world war 1 and world war 2.

Did you know it did not aways be called Veterans Day but then on the elelnth month on the eleventh day and at 11:00 a.m. The pristdent at that named it Veternans Day so that not only the pepole who serverd in "World War |" would be remembered and I mean all of the pepole that sevred in the wars would be remembered. So if you know anyone who severd in a war thank them for giving us the freedom we have today. There could have been alot of bad pepole who could rule there was Hitler.
ReplyDeleteSeven sentence why Veterans Day is important to our country is because it a day that show that we care about our country and who fought for it in the past. Many poeple died fighting. We celebrate the unknown soldiers. The army, airforce, marines, and the other trained fighting machines. I'm worried about my brother because he's going to the National Guard. When there are tough times we got to let them go. Happy Veterans Day
ReplyDeleteI think veteran's are important to our country because they are fighting for us. They sacrifice their lives for our freedom they do it all for us as a country. My papa was a veteran so I know who it feel's to worrie about a loved one. Veterans are important to me because all the things they do is all for me. All for my freedom. They really give us alot. I'm glad they fought for that because we have freedom now. Like the freedom of speech. This really means alot to me. So I'm glad we celabrate all of our veterans. Thank's to all you veterans.
