Hyperbole
A hyperbole is an extreme exaggeration- see the examples to the left. Give 2 examples of hyperbole that are appropriate for school and not already shown. Next, tell how an author might use a hyperbole to set a mood, or show a writing style. Write at least 4 sentences for this section. Hint: Hyperbole is usually used to show humor.

ReplyDeleteOne example of an hyperbole is the headphones were so loud, they sounded like 200 speackers on high. Some conadians use hyperboles. Another example of a hyperbole is the roller coaster was so tall, it probably took 45 Eiteful Towers to make it that tall. Hyperboles are somethimes funny. But like i said some conadians use hyperboles. I guess they use them because they are almost always funny.

ReplyDeleteOne hyperbole is that you car is so cool that it could be a supermodle.One more is that the clock is so fast that it made a car speed look bad. It would be like if someone was like a fuuny part like in a movie called Scobby-Doo.
One hyperbole would be myb sisster can open her mouth so wide a whale could fit in there. Another hyperbole would be my brother runs so fast In mistake him for a cheetah. These are hyperbole because they compare two things without using the words like or as.

Another hyperbole is my mom was as funny as a monkey on a laughing pill.An author might use a hyperbole to set a mood or writing style by adding a funny one to get a reader's attention. They also use them to make a reader want to read on.
1. My sister watches so much T.V. that her eyes popped out.

Now this will be school appropiate.I will put two hyperbole's.One is "I Am So Hungry I Could Eat A Horse","The second is my friend is so cool shes like a nike shoe". ReplyDeleteMy horse is so dumb she was looking down and she tripped in a hole. Authors use hyperbloes to entertain the reader and to entertain themselves too. I think hyperboles are funny thing. I think that if our world didn't have hyperbloes then it would be a boring.
four hyperboles are ,he so fat he got on my skate board and it cracked in half.next: he is so fat that when he got on the elivator it could'nt go anywhere.next:it was so good I had seconds,thirds,forth,and fifths.the bombs where so strong when they exploded we only had 6 contenents

Another one is my sister is so sassy she has a cat that mathches her. These are to hypole and they are pretty funny to aren't they, well so long for now. Bye.

ReplyDeleteI am going to tell you about some hyperbole's that I know. 1.My brother is so skinny that he can hide behide a lightpole. 2. My cat is so mean that we have to put on gloves to feed her. As you can see they are not real but sometimes they can. This is two hyperbole's that I wanted to tell you about!!!
an author would show mood with hyperbole is that he/she would say she was angry or he was bursting out with tears and can get there stuff like that. And an other reason why an author would use a hyperbole so they can your attetion so the reader could be more interested. Another reason why the author would use a hyperbole is because they can get more attetion to the reader and pay more attetion to the book. And it is important that an author uses a hyperbole and any thing else they need to add or something.

An aouther can use hyperbole to set a mode because the "mode" so to speak can be a funny mode like a jokeing type of thing such as shes a normal girl all right because she likes boys,she likes shoping,and she loves to paint her fangernails. She if I had said it normal it would have sounded like this shes normal because she goes shoping,she likes boys,and she likes to paint figernails. Now see how bad that was? Well I do and that was bad as they come!
