Foreshadowing
Foreshadowing is our last literary device to learn about. Foreshadowing is to provide clues for the reader to be able to predict what might occur later in the story. Foreshadowing is usually most obvious in movies. Write about a movie that gives obvious foreshadowing. An example of this would be the music in the movie Jaws right before the shark attack. Write about how the foreshadowing changes the story. Write at least 6 sentences.

ReplyDeleteAn example of foreshadowing in a movie is in the movie spongebob. This about one where Mr.Crabs loses his first dollar he made at the Krusty Krab. He takes the Krusty Krab crew clam fishing. Then he see's a clam approaching. He ties up Squidward and Spongebob for "bait". Then when it starts approaching Mr.Krabs opens this curtain and there is an orchestra playing weird music. This tells me that something is about to happen. Also because the music gets louder and faster. Have you seen this Spongebob..... This shows foreshadowing!
One example of foreshadowing in a movie or book is frank. Were people thank a bull dog is a monster. And a boy gose to a grave yard.They start playing creepy music and the boy gets liked by the bull dog.Another spot were the dog gets hit.The dog ecapes and gets hit by a car.
ReplyDeleteIn the movie "I am legend" and his dog Max died and befor it happend it gave music to show that a wolf was goig to come and bit him when the dog was rabit.In another part he is in the abonded apartment and it had played music when the monster came out.And when he found a afmily he had a dream and got scared and that was another part that had foreshowdowing .You kenw that by the music that some thing bad was going to happen before he shout Max.A t the end of the movie it had showen that he had died trying to kill the monster and so it played sad music.So as you can see it had alot of foreshadowing in it . For know bye.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was watching gose bups the children entered the house. Then creppy music began to play. I institally knew that something was going to happen. Then they saw what they didn't want to a monster. The music made me curiouse. mSo the producer wanted us to really think what will happen next. This is a very interesting element

ReplyDeleteIn the movie Flicka there is foreshadowing because right before something sad happens there is sad music. The sad music comes when they are about to take away Flicka. There might be more foreshadowing but it would take awhile to say them all since it has a lot of foreshadowing.Foreshadowing can mean that there is a sad part or mad or even happy. Foreshadowing is a hard thing to think about if your reading a book.

ReplyDeleteSpongeBob tries to get King Neptune's crown and wonders about the cyclops. He starts to imagine the cyclops stepping on him with his big boot. Next, he thinks about getting ice cream and see if it's a trap or not. He thinks he will never get the crown to save his boss.He imagines his boss being fried by the king. He thinks his boss is doomed.
Ericah Foreshadowing
ReplyDeleteForeshadowing changes the story in a good way. Foreshadowing can make you asume something bad is going to happen in the book. An example of foreshadowing is for instance in the book "Twilight" by Stephanie Meyer, there is a bad vampire after another vampires girlfreind Bella and so you can predict something bad is going to happen. Foreshadowing can also be used for something happy. In the book "New Moon" Bella makes freinds with a boy named Jacob and they go to the movies together with another freind of Bella's Mike. You can foreshadow that something good is going to happen.

In the movie foreshadowing occurs at the beggining of the movie.This is when Leslie is a new girl at this school and there is a race occuring.Leslie looks kinda weird and the boys think she will lose and she is a loser.But Leslie ends up winning that race.Another example is when Jess' teacher is taking him to a museum and he feel's guilty of not taking Leslie and that she will go to Teribithia by herself.This is foreshadowing because when he doesn't take her she goes to the rope and it breaks.This is tradgic because Leslie was on the rope when it broke and she died.This is foreshadowing.
A movie that gives some kind of hint tob what will happen next is anaconda. It sort of gives you a hint when the first man jets killed by playing really intense music.It changes the story beacause if they did not forshadow then they would just say ahh a snake really boreing.Like the movie jaws this movie is really intense and has really intense music and really good dialloge.

the majority of tv shows and moives have forshadowing and spooky music at spooky parts, if a monster is about to jump out or something. one vary good moive is the Knightmare Before Chrismas. in the scene when jack go's into the boogy mans lare,there iss spooky music and you know that sothing spooky is going to happen. and that is the best example of forshadowing. it is a vary good movie any ways withe the one thing, it is a love story and that is nasty.

ReplyDeleteONE forshadow exp. is in the book twilight the vampires can smell humans and that means something bads going to happen. Another exp. is in the movie How the Grinch Stole Christmas he steels all the food from the little people down in hoo ville and tomorrow somethings going to happen in the movie. These are the examples i have bye.
Later in life probably I would get enough money to buy a new cell phone because I lost my other one and I couldn't find it when I went back down to the park. And probably later in life I would comed a marine or a ARMY soldier and fight for are country. And later in life I might get enough money to buy my own house or get a car and that would be so cool. Later in life I would probably get enough money to help take care of me and my brothers and my mom and dad so they don't die starving and that would a really good thing for my parents. And if I get enough money I might build my mom and dad a house like my dad was a house builder for my papa and he will teach me how to fix houses and build them to so I can build one for my parents and take good care of them to.

ReplyDeleteOne example of foreshadowing is walk two moons. In the story it talks about when this girl and her dad was waiting for her mom to come back from Lewiston,Idaho and she wasn't coming back. So after when they got the news the dad was really mad and hhe used a chissle and made a big =hole in the wall and under the wall was a fire place.
A movie that has easy foreshadowing is I Know What You did las Summer. The part that gives it away is when they go into a realy dark area and he was chasing them. Foreshadowing can change a story like they give you a hint something is about to happen it can be happy, draful, chearful. Another movie that gives a easy foreshadowing is Jaws 2 and Jaws 3 they all give you a hint is by the music. A note if you watch about 20 times you know whats going to happen right before the muisc plays. Well sense I ran out of movies and ran out of ways it changes the story bye!
