Yesterday, you noticed that sometimes while persuading someone, you can also mislead them. This happens most often in commercials. We learned that there are "make-up artists" for fast-food commercials, and that sometimes products don't work correctly. How did it make you feel to learn those things? Why is it important for us to learn the persuasive techniques How can they help you avoid these situations? Write at least 7 sentences.
The movie made me feel mad and gross because I ate that. I think that the lady that showed us how they make it look good made me mad. I think they should give every one there money back because it was so gross. But then that is how they persuad you to buy it so it is are falt. And I don't see how a person would want to eat ever again. So I think we are kind of stupied now. But you get the ponit that it was gross.

ReplyDeleteIt makes me feel irratated. I can't believe that they use fake sesame seeds on the hamburger. I think that is a ripoff. They are just trying to get people to go to the place. I is important to learn persuasive techniqnes besause they are important. Every commercial uses them almost. That is my paragraph on persuasive techniques.
It made me feel upset to want something so bad but then it doesn't even work. We have to watch out for them and think their really just misleading me with persuasive techniques. This happens alot in comercial. I don't think it is write. They should not lie. They think it isn't harmful but sometimes it can hurt.This show's that you have to be care ful and think are they just using techniques.

ReplyDeleteWhen I learned about all this misleading things about commercials I felt like I had been tooken for granted. I felt like this because it felt like everyone was saying lies about the specific item. I think that you shoudn't tell lies because they will eventually catch up with you. For example... In commercials, eventually people will stop buying your item and you will be down in the drain from there. You should just tell the truth.
When I learned these things it made feel more cautious then I was. Beacause now I know to be more alert of people trying to rip me off! It is important to learn persusive techniques becaue you can be more alert of rip off people. These techniques will help you avoid these situations by helping you be alert and cautious.So if you try to be a rip off sales men you are doing a very bad thing.Would you like it if somebody did that to you? Well would you?!

ReplyDeleteIt makes me feel like they were just making the commercial look cool so that we wasted our money to buy them.They use you like a guineapig. They lie to you because they want your money. They end up giving you a piece of junk.They always use pesuasive techniques to makeyou want something. You end up wasting your money. They are very dirty liers sometimes!

ReplyDeleteI feel like the commerical cheated us because the fast-food doesn't want us to know what they really look like. I hope that in the future they change that and do commericals on the real buger or on other different foods. It is important to learn these techiques because if we run into Bandwagon we won't know unless we learn about it in school. I think that pesuasive techiques are important. I hope that people don't always fall for some of these techiques. Pesuasive techiques are not the best thing in the world.
When I find it really it really grinds my gears to find out that the"coolest toy"is really a piece of shizwad.When I find out ,I really get in a mood,and when I get in a mood,M oooh man, I scream my head off and evryone goes cazookes.

ReplyDeleteHow it made me feel is i was kind of disapointed.Why? Because seeing that it's fake that it really does not work is dissapointing.Because when you buy something that you really want then you buy it and you use it for a couple of minutes then it goes of on you.But unlike in the commercial's it says that it last's for along time but it really doesn't.like in burger king the whopper looks really good and juicy but then you buy it and it looks all soggy.
Persuasion is that where they play it on T.V. as a comerciall and you like to have it and you buy it. Then after you buy it you go out and play with it and you play with it on the water and the battery goes dead or it doesn't work like it said on the T.V. comerciall And you take it back and you by another toy that came off of comercial and you play with it for awhile then you try it out on some curves and it was wrecking every 10 seconds or so. And then your starting to believe that you cannot trust T.V. comercials.

ReplyDeleteSome ways to avoide comercials, and things that convince you to buy something and say things like today's the last day to buy it, or it's half off .Try to avoid these tricks they can convince you everywhere and it's like the black thing sale it probably tricked over 1,000,000 peple in Kentuky. enjoy.

ReplyDeleteWe can avoid persuasion by not watching tv or reading any advertismernts.Well we can stop watching tv but it would be a little hard to. Newsppapppers have persuasion stuff in it to like houses and jobs you can go eork at to. So this is some ways but you can also we can stop looking at magiziens. This is just some ways that we can stop looking or advoid persausive peices.
If they don't have proof on their product I don't think its true at all because there is a thing called a lie and thats what people that sell stuff don't get. Thing are important to use like what we play with and eat sometimes. I don't like buying things unless its tested and works because I bought a car that was $20.00 and it was made to drive on walls and and the ground but it never worked. I tried so hard to get it to work but nothing works when it came down to my last nerve I never used it again.

One way pepole trick is by attacking your fellings like when you watch tv and the abused anamials come on you fell like giveing all your money away. Another example is when they use famous pepole to convice you like Tiger Woods premots a lot of golf things like golf balls,golf bags, golf gloves, etc. Another way is by bandwagon an example is when every one eslse gets a DSi they are going to srart saying you should get one because every one eslse has one. ReplyDeleteHi Ms. Manoni's class. I watched this video too, and I was amazed that they actually glued sesame seeds to the bun! The advertising fast food restaurants use attempt to persuade you to buy poor quality food. They show people having fun eating at McDonald's, when all people really go to McDonald's for is a quick meal. They put toys in their "Happy Meals" and have a goofy clown telling kids to buy their food. They have recently developed the slogan "I'm lovin it," putting a ton of money into advertising, while not doing anything to improve the quality of their food.
ReplyDeleteIf you have ever wondered how any restaurant has ice cream on display that never seems to melt, it is because they use Crisco scooped and painted to look like ice cream. Gross.

One way to trick people to not mess with your besness is to tell them to back off if that does not work call like an adult or a parent because that is not funny and not something I would not mess with.
